This exceptional rating not only meets but surpasses the rigorous requirements of Australian Standard AS 1530.4 and the British Standards BS EN 1365-1 and BS EN 1363-1. As British and European standards are harmonised, this exceptional performance also aligns with European fire safety regulations. The test was undertaken by an accredited fire testing laboratory.
Temperatures on the furnace side averaged 1200c. The internal structural members reached 97c while the external side of the wall did not exceed 74c. We stopped the test after 198 minutes (3hrs 18mins) with no failure in any of the fire safety criteria.
